Christiane Hommelsheim

Christiane Hommelsheim is a vocal artist living in Berlin. She studied video and performance at the Saarbrück Academy and continues to be an important person on Berlin’s improvisation scene. She obtained a teaching licence from the Roy Hart Centre Artistique International in 2010 and has since taught singers, actors and dancers throughout Europe.

She will be presenting the “Umrandung des Nichts” (Nothing at Siege) project together with the composer Ralf Haarman. The project combines voice, sound objects, mandoline and live electronics. Ralf Haarmann will also lead a workshop focused on looping and voice.
